When I first started solving logic puzzles, Every Second Straight quickly became one of my favorite puzzle types. I first encountered this puzzle during the 14th World Puzzle Championship held in 2005 in Eger, Hungary. Inspired by that competition, I created two Every Second Straight puzzles later that year. After launching Fun With Puzzles in 2009, I published these puzzles so that puzzle enthusiasts could enjoy this unique loop puzzle variation. If you enjoy logic loop puzzles such as Masyu, Slitherlink, and Rundweg, you will likely enjoy this challenging puzzle as well.
Every Second Straight Puzzle Instructions
Draw a single continuous loop in the grid using vertical and horizontal line segments such that the loop visits every square exactly once. The loop does not cross or overlap itself. It goes straight at every square with a circle. There is exactly one square between two consecutive circles that the loop visits where the loop does not make any turn.
