Trid is a very rare logic puzzle that appeared in the Indian Puzzle Championship 2009 and the Oguz Atay Puzzle Contest (OAPC). Unlike popular puzzle types that continued to appear in puzzle competitions around the world, Trid largely disappeared after these events and is rarely seen today. What makes this puzzle interesting is that it combines logical deduction with simple arithmetic, similar in spirit to Kakuro, while remaining easy to understand and enjoyable to solve. This is the only Trid puzzle I created, and it serves as a great introduction to this unusual puzzle type. Once you place a few digits correctly, the remaining clues become much easier to follow. Trid Puzzle Instructions
Place digits 1-5 in each of the circles so that no digit is repeated within any straight line. Each number in a triangle equals the sum of the digits in the triangle’s vertices.
