This Puzzle type appeared in the Oğuz Atay Puzzle Contest (OAPC)-4. When the OAPC puzzle contest took place in 2009, there were many new types of puzzles introduced in these championships. These puzzles were later used in the World Puzzle Championship, which took place in Turkey. Paravan Puzzle is one of such puzzles that appeared in these championships, but later it was not found in any of the puzzle contests.
