Diagonal Loop – Unique Logic Puzzle Challenge

Diagonal Loop is a unique puzzle variation that I created in 2010 as an original logic puzzle concept inspired by the classic Slalom puzzle type. Unlike traditional loop puzzles where paths are usually drawn horizontally and vertically, this puzzle challenges solvers to think differently by constructing a single closed loop using only diagonal connections. Because of this unusual rule set, the solving process feels fresh and engaging even for experienced puzzle enthusiasts. This puzzle type was created exclusively for Fun With Puzzles and remains one of the most distinctive puzzle innovations featured on this website. Give it a try and see if you can discover the hidden loop using pure logic before revealing the solution.

Rules of the Diagonal Loop Puzzle

Draw a single closed loop by connecting neighboring corners diagonally (but not horizontally or vertically). A numbered circle indicates exactly how many of its diagonal edge segments are used by the path. The corner containing the circle should not be part of the loop.
