Tapa is one of the most popular logic puzzle types and has gained worldwide recognition through various puzzle competitions and weekly Tapa variation contests. To help puzzle enthusiasts practice different Tapa variants, I created several original Tapa puzzles. This Outside Sum Tapa Puzzle introduces an interesting twist where the clues inside the marked cells must first be determined using the sums given outside each row and column. Once the hidden clues are found, the puzzle can be solved using standard Tapa rules.
Outside Sum Tapa Puzzle Instructions
Marked cells contains the clue for the Tapa puzzle. Outside numbers denotes the sum of the clues in the corresponding row/column. Each marked cell contains only one number. Find the number in the marked cells and solve the Tapa puzzle.
Paint some squares black to create a continuous wall. Number/s in a square indicate the length of black cell blocks on its neighbouring cells. If there is more than one number in a square, there must be at least one white cell between the black cell blocks. Painted cells cannot form a 2x2 square or larger. There are no wall segments on cells containing numbers.
