Filler Sudoku (Daily Sudoku League #120)

Welcome to a puzzle that adds a clever counting mechanic to your Sudoku solving! This Filler Sudoku is a variant that appeared in the Indian Sudoku Championship 2015, and I created it for practice for that championship. The puzzle uses a classic 9x9 grid, but the shaded cells have a special rule: they must contain a specific count of each digit. The rule is that the shaded cells must collectively contain one 1, two 2s, three 3s, and so on, up to nine 9s. This creates a powerful constraint that guides your solving path.

This puzzle is my 120th contribution to the Daily Sudoku League and offers a unique and engaging challenge. It's perfect for solvers looking to practice a championship-style variant with a mathematical twist.

Rules of the Filler Sudoku

Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, shaded cells must contain one 1, two 2s, three 3s, four 4s ..... and nine 9s.
