Touchy Sudoku: Every Digit Must Touch a Consecutive Number

Touchy Sudoku Variation Puzzles

Touchy Sudoku

A fascinating Sudoku variation where each digit must touch at least one consecutive number

Touchy Sudoku is a fascinating Sudoku variation where each digit must have at least one consecutive adjacent neighbour (sharing an edge). This is the opposite of Non-Consecutive Sudoku, where no two consecutive numbers can touch each other. Touchy Sudoku can be solved by keeping track of all the numbers that are touching their consecutive numbers. While solving, cross out all the numbers that are already touching their consecutive numbers, and then focus on the remaining possibilities for the numbers that are not yet touching their consecutive neighbours. Concentrate on such numbers to eliminate many possibilities around their neighbours. This collection includes standard Touchy Sudoku puzzles and Touchy Trio Sudoku variations.
