Recently I created some Diagonal Sudoku puzzles and there was one Diagonal Sudoku that I found extremely tough. I thought that I will add a few numbers to it to make it easy but adding a few numbers will mean that either I break the pattern or give 4 additional hints to maintain symmetry. So I decided not to give any further hints and tried to solve it. It took me more than 1 hour with applying all possible techniques to solve a Diagonal Sudoku puzzle. I found that puzzle extremely tough. However, when I give this puzzle to Prasanna for testing, I was shocked by his timing. He solved it in just 5.46 minutes :). I was surprised and shocked by his timing. Looks like I need to improve my Classic Sudoku-solving skills a lot.
I still feel that this is a very very tough Sudoku, so I am posting two versions of this Sudoku puzzle. The second Diagonal Sudoku is having one additional hint at the center to reduce the difficulty level of this Sudoku by half. It will be interesting to see if there is someone, who can solve this Sudoku puzzle in less than 5 minutes to break Prasanna's record :)
This Diagonal Sudoku puzzle, I am posting in The League of Extraordinary Ladies & Gentlemen as the 182nd puzzle in this series.
