Fill the 5 liter bucket, pour 3 liters into the 3 liter bucket, leaving 2 in the 5 liter bucket. Empty the 3 liter bucket and pour the 2 liters from the 5 liter bucket into it. Then fill the 5 liter bucket and you have 7 liters in the two buckets.
