Welcome to a puzzle that introduces a fresh and challenging clue system in our Daily Sudoku League! Today's Quad Max Difference Sudoku is a new variant I created specifically for practice for the World Sudoku Championship 2014. While classic Sudoku rules apply, the grid features clues placed at the intersections of 2x2 blocks of cells. Each clue indicates the maximum possible difference between any two numbers within that block, and the puzzle guarantees that this maximum difference is actually achieved. This hard puzzle requires you to think about relationships within small groups of cells. Are you ready to find those maximum differences?
Rules of Quad Max Difference Sudoku
Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, the clues marked at the intersection of a 2×2 block of cells indicate the maximum difference between numbers placed in these blocks. This difference must be realized.
