Classic Sudoku comes in many variations. Standard 9x9 Sudoku can be modified to make it Linked Sudoku, Overlapping Sudoku, Expanded Sudoku, Compressed Sudoku, and many more different forms. In fact, all these Sudoku variations are appearing in the 4th round of Sudoku Mahabharat 2015 Final. I have created these puzzle types for practice for this championship and published most of them except Overlapping Sudoku. In fact, Overlapping Sudoku itself comes in different forms depending upon the extent of Sudoku overlapping. The one Overlapping Sudoku which is published earlier just overlaps in one 2x3 region. The one that is going to come in tomorrow's championship overlaps to the maximum extent.
This Compressed Sudoku, I wanted to post this before Sudoku Mahabharat 2015 Final, so that participants can use it for the practice of this championship. Best of Luck to all the participants of the Sudoku Mahabharat 2015 Final. Looking forward to meeting all my Sudoku/Puzzle friends tomorrow.
This Compressed Sudoku I am posting as the 52nd Sudoku in the Fun With Sudoku Series. Can you solve this Compressed Sudoku puzzle?
Rules of Compressed Sudoku
