Today's Surplus Deficit Sudoku is a unique variant that combines the rules of two different Sudoku types appearing in the World Sudoku Championship 2014. This puzzle is played on an 8x8 grid where you place digits from 1 to 8. The key twist lies in the regions: if a region has fewer than 8 cells (a "deficit"), no number may repeat within it. If a region has more than 8 cells (a "surplus"), each number from 1 to 8 must appear at least once. This blend of surplus and deficit logic creates a fascinating challenge. Rules of Surplus Deficit Sudoku

Fill in the whole grid with numbers 1-8 so that each number appears exactly once in every row and column. In regions with fewer than 8 cells, the numbers should not repeat. In regions with more than 8 cells, each number should appear at least once.
