Today, I, along with Prasanna, conducted a Sudoku workshop for the Bangalore finalists of Sudoku Champs 2015. We have introduced the kids to new Sudoku variations. These Sudoku variations will finally be appearing in the final of Sudoku Champs 2015, which will be held next weekend on 10th Jan 2015. For some of the Sudoku types, practice puzzles were a little tough, and I promised that I would be creating Mini Sudoku variations of these Sudoku types and posting them on my blog. So I am posting these variations, starting with Outside Sudoku.
One has to be a little careful regarding the rules of Mini Outside Sudoku Vs 9x9 Outside Sudoku. In Mini Outside Sudoku, hints given outside are applicable till the boundary of the 2x3 box, whereas in 9x9 Outside Sudoku, hints given outside are applicable till the first 3 cells.
This Outside Sudoku, I am posting it as the 13th Sudoku in the Mini Sudoku Series. Can you solve this easy outside sudoku mini-puzzle?
Rules of Mini Outside Sudoku
Mini Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, the digits outside the grid must appear in one of the cells in the first box (till the next bold line) seen from that edge of the grid.
