Welcome to a puzzle that adds a multiplication twist to your Sudoku solving! This Star Product Sudoku is a variant I created while preparing for the 2nd Round of the Sudoku Grand Prix Championship 2015. The puzzle uses a classic 9x9 grid, but the clues outside the grid are special: they indicate the product of the digits in the cells marked with stars in the corresponding row or column. This simple but powerful rule requires you to think about multiplication and the specific placement of starred cells.
This puzzle is my 89th contribution to the Daily Sudoku League and is one of three puzzles I created for that championship. I'm posting this one today, with the others to follow soon. It offers a unique and satisfying challenge, perfect for solvers who enjoy combining arithmetic with classic Sudoku logic.
Rules of Star Product Sudoku
Standard Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, the clues outside the grid indicate the product of the digits in the cells marked with stars in the corresponding row or column.
