Disparity Sudoku Puzzle Challenge (DSL #103)

Disparity Sudoku is one of those puzzle types that was completely new to me when I first saw it. It appeared in the Sudoku Surprise test on Logic Masters India in November 2014, along with Black and White Killer Sudoku. Since I had never tried this type before, I made this puzzle to prepare for that test and get a better understanding of how it works. The rule is simple, but it changes the way you approach the grid.

This is a Jigsaw Sudoku with an extra parity rule. Neighboring cells that belong to different regions cannot have the same parity. That means if two cells are next to each other but in different regions, one must be even and the other must be odd. It sounds straightforward, but it adds a nice layer of logic to the solution. I am posting this as my 103rd contribution to the Daily Sudoku League. I hope you enjoy this one and find it a good workout for your brain.

Rules of the Disparity Sudoku

Jigsaw Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, neighboring cells in different regions must be of opposite parity, i.e., neighboring cells in different regions can neither be both even nor both odd.
