This is one of my favorite puzzles. This is as addictive as Sudoku. When I started solving logical puzzles and participating in puzzle competitions, the Heyawake puzzle was one of the classic puzzle types, and it used to be part of any puzzle championship. This is an easy puzzle that I created in my earlier days of puzzle creation. This puzzle can be used to understand the rules of Heyawake.
