Tripod Sudoku became a popular Sudoku variant around 2009. It appeared in several prestigious puzzle competitions, including the Oğuz Atay Puzzle Contest (OAPC), the 18th World Puzzle Championship held in Antalya, Turkey, and The Last Sudoku Competition Before the World Sudoku Championship. The Tripod Sudoku puzzles featured in this post were created for the 10th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship. Unlike regular Sudoku variants, these puzzles require solvers to determine the region boundaries while satisfying the Sudoku constraints, creating an additional layer of logical deduction.
