The Sudoku Grand Prix 2015 was scheduled to begin in the first week of January 2015. The instruction booklet for Round 1 had already been released, and several interesting Sudoku variants appeared in this round. Many Sudoku variants such as Odd Sudoku, Renban Sudoku, Thermometer Sudoku, Arrow Sudoku, and Next to Nine Sudoku had already been published on this website.
Among the remaining Sudoku variants—XV Sudoku, All Odd/Even Sudoku, Round Off Sudoku, and Mathrax Sudoku—I am currently publishing All Odd/Even Sudoku and will publish the remaining variants in the coming days under the Daily Sudoku League.
All Odd/Even Sudoku is also known as Parity Sudoku. This puzzle type appeared in the Indian Sudoku Championship (ISC) 2012 under the name Parity Sudoku. I originally created this puzzle during the preparation of ISC 2012. While testing the puzzle, Prasanna suggested a better name—All Odd/Even Sudoku. Therefore, I am publishing this puzzle using the name All Odd/Even Sudoku, which is also the name used in the first round of the Sudoku Grand Prix. Since this puzzle was created several years ago, it does not contain symmetrical givens.
This All Odd/Even Sudoku is the 78th puzzle in the Daily Sudoku League.
Rules of All Odd/Even Sudoku
Classic Sudoku Rules apply. Additionally, within each region, the digits in the grey cells are either all odd or all even.
