If you enjoy solving Sudoku variants, Non-Consecutive Sudoku is an excellent puzzle to add to your collection. Besides following the classic Sudoku rules, adjacent cells sharing an edge must never contain consecutive numbers. This means pairs such as 1-2, 4-5, or 8-9 can never appear next to each other horizontally or vertically. The additional restriction provides valuable negative information that helps eliminate candidates throughout the puzzle.
Although the rule is very easy to understand, it creates a completely different solving experience from a standard Sudoku. Every placement influences the surrounding cells, encouraging careful planning and systematic logical deduction from the first clue to the final solution.
